Aftercare & Support

We're committed to ensuring you enjoy your shutters for years to come. Below you'll find everything you need to keep your shutters looking and performing their best, along with warranty information and a way to get in touch if you need any help.

Care Instructions

Your shutters are built to last, but a little regular care will keep them looking as good as the day they were fitted.

  • Dust regularly using a soft, dry cloth, feather duster, or the brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner. This prevents dust build-up in the louvre slats.
  • Wipe down with a slightly damp cloth for a deeper clean. Use warm water with a tiny drop of washing-up liquid if needed.
  • Dry immediately after wiping to avoid water marks, especially on real wood shutters.
  • For stubborn marks, use a soft cloth dampened with warm soapy water and gently wipe the affected area.
  • For composite or waterproof shutters (such as our Vienna range), you can be a little more generous with water — they're designed to handle moisture.
  • For real wood shutters, always wring out your cloth well and dry immediately after cleaning.
  • Harsh chemicals — avoid bleach, abrasive cleaners, or furniture polish as these can damage the paint finish.
  • Excess water — never soak or saturate wood shutters. Prolonged moisture can cause warping.
  • Rough materials — avoid scouring pads or abrasive cloths that could scratch the surface.
  • Direct heat — keep hairdryers or heaters away from your shutters to prevent warping or discolouration.
  • Real wood (Ashwood, Worcester, Portchester) — keep moisture to a minimum. Dust regularly and wipe with a barely-damp cloth.
  • Composite / MDF — more resilient to moisture; ideal for kitchens. Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap.
  • Waterproof (Vienna) — perfect for bathrooms and wet rooms. Can be cleaned with water freely. Resistant to humidity and warping.
