At Shutters of Elegance, our story begins with friendship, expertise, and a shared passion for beautiful homes.

Founded on 23 October 2020 by five friends with a wealth of experience across the various industries, our roots run deep in Lincolnshire craftsmanship. What began as a vision has grown into one of the region’s most trusted names in bespoke plantation shutters.

Built on Strong Foundations

Shutters of Elegance was born from the heritage of Grimsby Sunblinds, a local, family-run business established in 1986 and now into its third generation. Over the decades, Grimsby Sunblinds has become a household name - known for quality, service, and community connection.

As demand for shutters grew rapidly, key partners Shaun and Kev saw the opportunity to offer something dedicated - something elegant. Together, they assembled a team with a unique blend of experience and expertise:

Shaun – With years of expeirence in Blinds, he was the founding force behind the company.
Kev – Practical & personal, the ideal fit for growing sales.
Colin – With decades in the London shutter industry, he brought seasoned insight and specialist knowledge.
Andy – A highly qualified accountant, ensuring strong foundations for sustainable growth.
Karl – A tech-savvy investor with a passion for streamlined operations.

Together, they created Shutters of Elegance; dedicated to delivering premium shutters with top-level service to homes across Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Louth, Lincoln and beyond.
